The Open Door Community is committed to performing the gospel through the works of mercy and the works of justice. Our Hospitality Ministries include visitation and letter writing to prisoners, anti-death penalty advocacy, advocacy for the homeless, daily worship and weekly Eucharist. If you have questions about our schedule don’t hesitate to contact us.
Clarification Meetings
In city houses and farming communes regular meetings ‘for the clarification of thought’ would be held. People of all persuasions would dialogue, to explore the causes for the present disorder and to find a way from where we are to where we ought to be.”
From “A Brief Introduction to the Catholic Worker Movement,” by Tom Cornell. The complete document can be found here on the Web site of the Catholic Worker Movement.
Clarification meetings are held on selected Mondays at the Open Door Community, 910 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Atlanta, from 7:30-9:00 p.m. The schedule is subject to change; please call 404-874-9652 for the latest information.
